I am addicted to washi tape. Really! I have hundreds of rolls in every colour imaginable. They are so fun to use!
On this page, I incorporated 12 different washi tapes, along with strips of photographic negatives. The trick was preserving the two images that were already on the page (a child reading a book on the left, and children playing with blocks on the right). So I had to carefully trim all of the washi tapes around the images with a craft knife.
The background seemed to busy when it was done, so I toned it down by sponging on some gesso here and there, and then inking it using Distress ink and a blending tool. I added the Tim Holt die cut people last.
