Faux Tintypes

Faux Tintype2

You have to see these in person to appreciate the almost holographic-quality of them!  The layers of metal, inks, images, and papers give these cards a truly unique look that can’t be portrayed in a photograph.  You have to see them to believe them!

In this class, I show you how to layer elements together to form what resembles a tintype image from the 1800s.  I provide you with both vintage and modern images to work with, and a variety of both traditional and non-traditional colorants to spice up your creations.

As with all my classes, participants receive a detailed instruction sheet that walks you through the process step-by-step so you can later remember what you learned.
