I love this quote:  “No one can go back and make a new start, but anyone can start now and make a new ending.”

Although it’s hard to tell in this image, this page has a “window” that flips back and forth between the left and right sides of the page.  The window is made from a clear overhead transparency sandwiched between two pages and then embellished.  In the image, the window page is flipped to the right so it frames the later half of the quote, but it can also be flipped the other way.

I used a dark acrylic paint on the background of this page, layered with stenciled ink, and Viva Decor’s 3D Stemple paint tapped through a stencil.  The 3D Stempe gives a dimensional, metallic look; I like the way it turned out.  I colourized the text using Distress Ink applied with a blending tool.  I doodled and drew around the collaged elements to incorporate them into the page, and created a border with ink and charcoal.
