Art Journal – “Never Stop Working Toward Your Passion”

Art Journal never stop working towards your passion

I found these words in several different magazines, and liked the message when they were combined.  I actually have a little box full of words and images I’ve cut from magazines.  When I cut them out,  I rarely know how they’ll be used; but I know that they’re destined for an art journal page at some future point in time.

The background for this page was made using Distress Ink applied through a stencil with a blending tool (LOVE the soft look I can achieve with blending tools!)  I applied coordinating washi tape across the top and bottom to give a little more visual interest, and then collaged the magazine words along with a couple of butterfly stickers (the wings actually pop off the page in a 3D manner).  The last step was doodling around the collaged elements to help incorporate them into the page.  I drew dashed lines around the words “Never Stop” and boxes around “working toward your passion”, and then filled in some of the spaces with swirled circles.

Never stop working toward your passion!
