I used some creative techniques to give this page a an outdoorsy, natural look.
The background was made with acrylic paint applied with a baby wipe. Then I stenciled some crackled patterns onto the page with Distress Ink applied with a blending tool. I also stenciled through drywall tape (sticking it on, applying ink through it with a blending tool, and then removing the drywall tape), resulting in a small grid pattern. The “rust” is Distress embossing powder. I added one of my Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) on the right side, tied the left and right pages together with a strip of washi tape, and did some rubberstamping and journaling.
By the way, click on this (or any) picture on my blog to zoom in on it. Enlarged, you can see more detail.
